Robert F. Burkinshaw

ROBERT "BOB" BURKINSHAW of Mansfield Center passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, March 10 at the Mansfield Rehab Center. Bob and his wife, the former Arline Lietz, originally resided in Meriden, CT. He became an officer in the US Merchant Marine, serving on ships during WWII until he was discharged. He then became a manufacturers' rep, selling sterling silver hollowware and related items to high quality jewelers and gift shops, settling in Mansfield in 1961. He retired at the age of 87, leaving the business he so loved. He leaves his loving wife; their son Robert Terry Burkinshaw, and his children Steve, Matt, Kim and Chris; their daughter Kathy Fisher and her husband John, and their sons, Sean and Scott; and his sister Ruth Baker Of Pacheca, CA. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family in early April.
