Rita (Noel) Kandolin, 83, of Willimantic, widow of Richard Kandolin, died Sunday April 2, 2006 at Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Nov. 8, 1922 in Willimantic the daughter of Alfred and Maryann Noel. Rita had retired in 1988 from Windham Hospital where she had been employed for a total of 15 years. Previously she worked at the American Thread Co. and also at the Windham Diner when it was located on Main St. She is survived by 4 children and their spouses, Richard Jr. and Nan of Coventry, Randall and Debbie of N. Woodstock, Raymond and Tracy of Columbia and Rosemary and Jonathan Larned of Willimantic; 2 sisters, Alice Casey of Willimantic and Margaret Greene of Leesburg, FL.; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Alfred Noel Jr. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Friday April 7, 2006 at 11:00am in New Willimantic Cemetery, Rte. 32 at the intersection of Rte. 6, Willimantic. Rev. Richard Duvall will officiate.
