Richard Albert Strout, 78, of Lebanon CT, died unexpectedly, Monday, May 30, 2016. He was born in Waterville, Maine, April 2, 1938, the son of Albert Strout and Henrietta (Galen) Strout. Richard worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 37 years, retiring in 1995 as an assistant 2nd shift supervisor. He was an avid bowler, participating in several leagues and competing in tournaments throughout the Northeast. He bowled a 300 game at Silver Lanes in East Hartford. During retirement he enjoyed playing bingo at Foxwoods, billiards at the Lebanon and Columbia Senior Centers, CT Sun games and attending his grandchildren?s many events. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Marie Thompson Strout, and his sister Margaret Harding. He is survived by his son Kevin and his wife Marie Michaud-Strout of Columbia, daughter Kerri and her husband Eric Foster of East Lyme, daughter Kathy and her husband Robert Rodriguez of Willimantic, and daughter Karol Strout-Dupuis of Lebanon. A loving and caring grandfather, "Poppa" will be missed by his grandchildren; Brandon and Kurtis Strout and Tiffany Leavens; Jeffrey, Kevin, Kristen and Jamie Foster; Karyssa and Danyelle Rodriguez; Connor, Jonah, Kaysie and Jeremiah Dupuis; and his great-granddaughters, Samantha Chloe Strout and Ava Ryleigh Strout. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Peter Harding and his nephew Michael Harding of Big Sur California and his extended family in Maine. There will be no calling hours.?A memorial and celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2016?between 2:00 and 4:00pm at Lebanon Fire Safety Complex, 23 Goshen Hill Rd., Lebanon, CT
