Richard S. Storrs Sr

Richard S. Storrs Sr., 85, of Storrs, died Thursday, January 19, 2006 in Windham. He was born December 13, 1920 in Willimantic, the son of Stedman and Lucy (Payne) Storrs and had lived in East Hampton and Storrs all his life and was a member of the First Church of Christ Congregational in Mansfield. He was employed for several years at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford and then from 1970 to 1984 as a delivery driver for Mountain Dairy in Mansfield. He is survived by 3 sons, Richard Storrs Jr. of Granby, Robert Storrs of Sidney Center, NY, Jonathan Storrs of Walton, NY, 3 daughters, Betty Lou Squires of Storrs, Jacqueline Pauley of Hampton, TN and Laurie Warmsley of Middletown, 2 brothers, Walter E. Storrs of Willimantic and Francis W. Storrs of Storrs, 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Monday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Mansfield Center Cemetery.
