Richard Murray Obituary
Richard “Dick” Murray, 81, of Scotland, CT “A good man for all the right reasons”, passed away on February 20, 2024 at Windham Hospital. He was born on July 30, 1942 in Willimantic, CT, the son of the late James and Albertina (Coutu) Murray.
Dick worked for over 40 years at Brand Rex. He was a member of the Dream Machines Car Club and has many close dear friends from the club.
He is survived by his “forever soulmate” Jean Landry, daughter Dawn Greene, son Jeffrey Murray, grandson Caleb Greene, and extended family Joseph Landry, John and Tina Hayes and Austin Hayes. Dick was predeceased by his parents and brother James Murray.
Dick’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 10:00am until his funeral service at 11:00am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic, burial to follow at Scotland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Scotland Volunteer Fire Dept., 47 Brook Rd. Scotland, CT 06264.
