Richard J. Kramer, 68, of Scotland, husband of Arlene (Patten) Kramer, died Saturday March 9, 2002 in Mansfield. He was born September 12, 1933 in Willimantic, the son of the late George and Doris (Chasse) Kramer and had lived in Scotland for the past 44 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion in Willimantic. Prior to his retirement he was employed for 37 years at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford. Mr. Kramer loved saltwater fishing, especially surf casting at night. In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 children and their spouses, Joyce and Robert Beaumont Jr. of Scotland, Alan and Debra Kramer of Willimantic, a brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Pauline Kramer of North Windham, 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home; 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Scotland Cemetery, Rte. 97, Scotland.
