Richard Gilbert Johnson

Richard G. Johnson, 53, of Canterbury, husband of Linda (Holland) Johnson, died Wednesday January 16, 2002 at home. He was born December 9, 1948 in Norwich, the son of Marie (Parkinson) Johnson of Columbia and the late Charles Johnson. He was employed for 14 years as a deliveryman at Amerigas in Hampton. He loved to bowl and to go hunting. In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by a son, Todd Johnson of Willimantic, 2 step-sons Charles Benoit of Willimantic, Kenneth Benoit of Meriden and a brother, Robert Johnson of Columbia. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195, 1/2 mile south of Rte. 6) Willimantic on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
