Richard Eberl Obituary
Richard Karl Eberl, 62, of Mansfield Center, husband of Terry (Kincaid) Eberl, passed away on November 24, 2022 after an extended illness, with his loving wife by his side.
Rick was born March 1, 1960 in Norwich, the son of the late Richard F. and Adele P. (Hlastawa) Eberl. He was married to the love of his life and soul mate Terry Kincaid on December 3, 2013.
In addition to his wife Terry, Rick is survived by two sisters and their husbands, Linda and Mike Ballas of Tidewater, OR; Karen Eberl and Charles Sautter Jr. of Uncasville, CT and two children from a previous marriage.
Rick last worked at Zlotnick Construction as a planner/estimator/project manager.
Rick’s life revolved around building something. He built the two houses he lived in. He also worked on numerous renovation projects at Pfizer. Rick project managed building apartment buildings, grocery stores, shopping malls, etc. No job was too big.
Rick also built the Our Companions Animal Rescue facility in Ashford, CT. This project was one of his favorites. He was proud to contribute to such a wonderful cause.
He was respected by all who worked with him. While he could be a bit tough and stubborn at times, he always had the end-result for the customer and the company he worked for at the top of his priority list.
Rick was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed help building something. He was an avid fisherman and kayaker, loved hanging out at the firepit with friends, feeding and watching the birds and spending time at Misquamicut Beach. Rick loved animals. His best buddy was Bocephus (Bo), his English Springer Spaniel. He and Terry owned a mixed breed dog – Roxie – who came in a close tie for first in his heart with Bo. Rick will be sorely missed by many. He had a huge heart and a big opinion.

There are no calling hours. A casual, informal gathering will be held December 8, 2022 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Stix & Stones Market Place, 1029 Storrs Rd., Mansfield, CT. The family would love for you to stop by.
