Richard Brown Obituary
Richard A. Brown 80, formerly of Willimantic, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Marlborough Health Care Center. He was born on April 5, 1942, in Andover, CT to the late Bernard Brown and Katherine (Hunt) Garland. Richard spent his working years as a laborer in the construction and agricultural businesses. In his retirement he delivered papers for the Chronicle throughout Willimantic. He was a kindhearted, laid-back man that cared deeply for his friends and family and preferred to live life on his own terms. He leaves behind two brothers, David R. Garland and his wife, Louise, and Tommy L. Garland-Standing and his wife, Sandy. He also leaves his nephews and nieces James, Justine, Jeffrey, Walela, and Tsali. There will be no calling hours or services at this time. Memorial service will be private at his family’s discretion.
