Richard P. Abell

Richard P. Abell, 89, of Lebanon, husband of the late Edith (Rogers) Abell, died Tuesday November 6, 2001 in Colchester. He was born February 16, 1912 in Lebanon, the son of Frederick and Gertrude (Lillie) Abell and was a lifelong resident of Lebanon. Mr. Abell owned and operated a dairy farm in Lebanon throughout most of his life. He is survived by 2 children and their spouses, Joyce and Jerry McGillicuddy of Lebanon, Roger and Tina Abell of Mansfield, 1 cousin Eleanor Hall of Rochester, NY, 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Linda Gendron, a son James Abell, 4 brothers, Russell, Harrison, Robert and Charles Abell and a sister, Lucille Abell. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Lebanon. Burial will follow in the New Lebanon Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
