Rhea Beaudette Obituary
Rhea (Desautels) Beaudette, 95, of Willimantic, CT, it is with the deepest of sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Meme and Grande Meme. She was born on June 30, 1927 in La Petrie, Canada, the daughter of the late Leonard and Yvonne (Blais) Desautels. Rhea married her husband Robert (Bob) Beaudette on August 23, 1947. They were married for 64 years when Bob passed away in February 2012.
Rhea retired from Dining Services at UConn at 68 years old. She loved being with the students. She lived a full and busy life, loved the beach and visiting her large family, never stopping for very long, passing this wonderful trait on to her family.
Rhea leaves behind her five children, Sue Jurcik, Terry Miller, and her husband Pete, Jan, Bobby, and Rene Beaudette; twelve grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mansfield Nursing and Rehab. and Masonic Care for their kindness and caring of our Mom.
There are no calling hours. Rhea’s Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Mary Church, 46 Valley St., Willimantic, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. For an online memorial guestbook, please visit www.potterfuneralhome.com .
