Rena J. (Giuliari) Quintana, 91, of Chaplin, was lifted into heaven on the wings of angels on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Born March 18, 1922 to Angelo and Angelina Giuliari in Italy, she came to the United States through Ellis Island in 1929 and she and her family settled in Barre, VT. She was a graduate of Spaulding High School and attended Burlington Business College. On October 18, 1947 she married Andrew Quintana and later moved to Chaplin where they founded Quintana's Memorials which continues as a family run business today. Rena was active in the Chaplin Senior Center, was an avid quilter and loved to share her memoirs and tell a good joke. Many have been blessed by her surprised gifts of quilts, cookies or other of her famous sweets and treats. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew and brother Bruno. She is survived by her daughters Andrea (Andie) Quintana, Linda Pelletier and her husband Kenneth, her grandchildren: Kyle Pelletier and his wife Jennifer, Melissa Pelletier and her husband Michael Rodriguez, her great-granddaughter Audrey Pelletier, the apple of her eye, her two older sisters Linda Zampini of NJ and Maria LaPalme of FL, and special family friend Patty Sale, along with many nieces and nephews all who will miss her spirit and kind heart.
