Regina A. Shashok, 84, formerly of Crane Hill Rd., Storrs, widow of George Shashok, died Wednesday April 3, 2002 at Douglas Manor in Windham. She was born Jan. 14, 1918 in New York, N.Y. . She owned and operated Regina?s Beauty Shop in Mansfield for many years. She was active in the Echo Grange, Mansfield Boy Scouts and was a member and volunteer at the Windham Textile and History Museum. Regina enjoyed fishing and gardening and was a former vender at the Mansfield Drive In Flea Market. She is survived by a son and daughter in law Richard and Karen Shashok of Windham, a sister Frances Malek of Columbia, 2 daughters in law; Diane Shashok of Mansfield and Rajean Shashok of Chaplin, a sister in law Sophie Postemsky of Mansfield, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 sons Tim and Ray, a brother Michael and 2 sisters Helene and Lillian. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 10:00am in St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd., Windham. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial donations to the Christmas Lights Fund c/o Windham Center Fire Dept., Windham, Ct. 06280.
