Regina Lauter

Regina Lauter, 93, of Willimantic, passed away Saturday April 27, 2013 at St Joseph Living Center. She was born January 25, 1920 in Bucharest, Romania. She was the daughter of Jacob and Cecilia Lobel. She married Sigismund Lauter in May 1940 in Bucharest, Romania and they traveled together across the world making their home in Willimantic, CT in 1949. Regina became a U.S. Citizen in 1955. She worked at Electro-Motive Manufacturing Co. and retired after 40 years. She loved all animals and gardening. She was predeceased by her parents and loving husband. She was the last of her immediate family. She is survived by her close friends and caregivers Ryan and Pat Hawthorne of Mansfield, her friend and caring roommate Rose and her friends from Pigeon Road. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday May 1, 2013 at 9:00am at Temple Bnai Israel Cemetery, Rte. 32 at Rte. 31, Mansfield.
