Raymond Jaquith

Raymond Jaquith, 74, of Ashford, formerly of North Windham, husband of Jeannette (Kennison) Jaquith, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the Windham Hospital with his loving wife at his side. He was born February 13, 1934 in Hartford, son of the late Leon and Dorothy (Dery) Jaquith and had lived for many years in North Windham before moving to Ashford 3 years ago. He was a U. S. Army veteran, serving in Germany and France, being discharged in 1954. Prior to his retirement he was employed for 30 years at the former Brand Rex Co. in Willimantic. He attended St. Paul Episcopal Church in Willimantic with his wife. Raymond enjoyed reading, gardening, photography and most of all his family. In addition to his wife of 47 years he is survived by four children, Joyce Sabo and her husband George Jr. of Canterbury, Cheryl Henderson and her husband John Jr. of Ashford, Raymond Jaquith Jr. of Uncasville, and David Jaquith of Manchester, a brother, Ronald Jaquith and his wife Sandra of South Windsor, seven grandchildren, Eric Sabo, John Henderson III and his wife Jenna, Kristen Leffingwell and her husband Brian, Jason Jaquith and his wife Christine, Justin Jaquith, Benjamin Jaquith and Darla Jaquith, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Richard Jaquith. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Monday, December 22nd from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Scotland Cemetery, Rte. 97, Scotland.
