Raymond A. Giard

Raymond A. Giard, 73, of Quaker Hill passed away after a short illness on October 14, 2014 at New London Rehab and Care of Waterford. The son of the late Leo Giard and Florence (Morey) Higham, he was born in Norwich, Connecticut on January 22, 1941. He attended Windham Technical School and New London High School. He was a veteran of the United States Marines. He was employed by the Underwater Sound Lab for over twenty years. He recently worked for the Curtin Livery. He had a love of fishing and camping thought out his life. He was an avid Red Sox fan as well as a huge fan of the UConn basketball teams. He is survived by his daughter Connie White of Ledyard, his brother Mark Higham of Taftville, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Marilyn Giard Keene, and his stepfather Richard Higham Sr. and brother Richard Higham Jr. There are no calling hours.
