Raymond W. Desruisseax Sr. July 7, 1930-April 3, 2013 Raymond W. Desruisseaux Sr. of Carolyn Lane, North Windham passed away on Wednesday April 3, 2013 at Windham Hospital surrounded by family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be greatly missed. Born on July 7, 1930 in Windham, he was the son of the late Romeo and Anette (Blanchette) Desruisseaux. In his early years he proudly served in the U.S. Navy. On January 5, 1952 he was united in marriage to Wilma Eileen (Bass) Desruisseaux. After many years of service he retired from the State of Connecticut where he worked as a Carpentry Forman for UCONN. Surviving is his daughter Wilma Levesque and husband Daryl of Arabia, son Raymond Desruisseaux Jr. of Chaplin, daughter Lynne Sweet and husband Wayne of North Windham, grandson Dale Levesque and wife Rachel of Apex, NC., granddaughter Shawna Blake and husband Bill of Norwich, grandson Heath Hawkins and wife Jody of Canterbury, grandson Chayne Hawkins and wife Amanda of Coventry, grandson Rick Desruisseaux of Vernon, granddaughter Nicole Desruisseaux of North Branford, grandson Eric Desruisseaux of North Branford and many great grandchildren. Raymond was predeceased by his wife Wilma in 2010 after 58 years of marriage. There are no calling hours according to his wishes, all services will be private.
