Rand R. White

Rand R. White, 68, of Windham, husband of Theresa (Gamache) White, died July 17, 2011 in Willimantic. He was born February 9, 1943 in Willimantic, the son of the late Harold and Marie (Jenkins) White and was a lifelong resident. He was employed for a time at the former American Thread Co. before being employed at Connecticut Light and Power, where he work for many years prior to his retirement. Rand was a Willimantic Little League coach and a member of the Willimantic Elks Club for many years who enjoyed playing in the Elks Club Golf League. He was a cancer survivor who ultimately succumbed to complications from cancer and diabetes. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Daniel and Kenneth White, four grandchildren, Joshua, Dana, Isabelle and Gabriel White, a sister, Joan Shea and a brother, Harold White. His family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, July 21st from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic . A graveside service will be held Friday July 22nd at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd., Windham.
