Ramona Rodriguez (Puchy) 73, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 8 2019?surrounded by her family and close friend?Nilka. Born March 15, 1946?to the late Ramon Torres Alamo and Virginia Turpo Mangual, both of?Juana Diaz,?Puerto Rico.?Ramona lived most of her life in Willimantic, CT where she worked as a machine operator?at?American Thread, Kendall Company and General Cable?(formally?Brand Rex)?and retired from?Eastern Connecticut State University as a maintainer. She was a loving mother to her family and made it her mission to?ensure that?everyone was?happy. She?will be deeply missed?by her adoring and lifelong partner Hector Gutierrez and her?loving?children?to whom she was very close;?Emilio Rodriguez and Inez, Magaly D?Amato and Robert, Marytza Luna,?Daly?Cruz and Carlos.?Ramona?s life?joy?was?her?deeply loved?grandchildren;?Dominic, Brandi, Jose, Augustine, Damarys, JanCarlos, Jadiel, Jarian and Jazlyn;?and?great-grandchildren Jaylianys and Julius.?Ramona leaves behind three siblings; Jaime (Chalupo) Torres, Carlos (Tigre) Torres, Carmen Delia (Cambu) Torres and was predeceased by her sister Carmen S. Diaz. Ramona was immensely proud of her family?and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She was a?quiet and private person?and?was admired and loved by?all?that knew her especially her close friends. She will be forever missed and?eternally?loved. Ramona was an absolutely beautiful soul who has ascended to heaven be with our loving heavenly father. A funeral mass is being held on Monday, May 13 at Sagrado Corazon de Jesus Church, 61 Club Road, Windham, CT at 11:00 AM. Calling hours are also being held on Monday, May 13 between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street, Willimantic, CT.
