Ralph L. Kelly, 74, of Chaplin, husband of Donna (Lemaire) Kelly died Saturday October 4, 2003 at home after a courageous fight with cancer. He was born July 1, 1929 in Coventry, the son of the late Myron and Eva (VonDeck) Kelly. Mr. Kelly was employed by the former American Thread Company and prior to his retirement at RHAM High School. He was also self employed as a floor sander and enjoyed fishing as a hobby. In addition to his wife of 46 years he is survived by 5 children and their spouses, Ralph and Jackie Kelly of Willimantic, Dianne and Evan Hall of Scotland, Nancy and Kenneth Lemire of Willimantic, Jane and Kevin Pearl of Hampton, Jim and Summer Kelly of Windham Center, 17 grandchildren, a great grandchild on the way, several nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by a brother Earl Kelly. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Coventry.
