Rachel Ellen Palmer

Rachel E. Palmer, 47, of Ash Street, Willimantic, died Sunday August 11, 2002 in her home. She was the daughter of Earl and Sarah Palmer of Lebanon and beloved mother of Sonya and Sara Olson. Rachel was the office manager for Shane, Navratil & Co. CPA of Willimantic and a faithful employee for 20 years. She attended Andover Elementary School and graduated from RHAM High School in Hebron. Rachel's most precious memories were of her childhood on Andover Lake and preparing holiday feasts every year around her great grandmother's table, which was passed to her grandmother, her mother and then to her. Rachel was a kind and loving mother, daughter, sister and loyal friend. She was much loved by her former husband, Russell Olson and their two daughters as well as her special companion, William Brown. She leaves behind her siblings and their spouses, Earl Lawrence and Pamela Palmer, Kenneth and Billie Palmer, Daniel Palmer, Laurel and Chris Albair, David and Debbie Palmer, 4 nieces and 5 nephews. Rachel will be missed by her countless friends and business associates in the Willimantic community. Rachel Palmer would have turned 48 this September 3rd. We all loved her more than we could say. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the Andover Congregational Church, Rte. 6, Andover. Burial will follow in the Townsend Cemetery.
