Priscilla Elaine (MacDonald) Valder, 79, of Willington, passed into eternal rest, surrounded by her family on Sunday May 23, 2004. She was born Dec. 15, 1924 in Providence, R.I. the daughter of Henry and Mildred MacDonald. Her main enjoyments were her family and cooking. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph E. Valder in 1998. Priscilla is survived by 3 daughters; Judi MacDonald Cooper of Newport, Oregon, Linda Upton and her longtime companion with whom she resides, Gene Emmons of Willington and Cheryl Jacobi of Hopkinsville, KY., 2 sons; Joseph Valder of Willington and Henry Valder, 2 sisters; Carol Amos of Enfield and Sandi Philbin Brennen of Enfield, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a special cousin Patricia Gunderson. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10:00am St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic with assembly at the church. Burial will be private in Putnam Heights Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial donations to VNA East, 34 Ledgebrook Dr., Mansfield Center, Ct. 06250 or to either Willington Volunteer Fire Dept.
