Philomena E. "Lee" Zaklukiewicz

Philomena E."Lee" Zaklukiewicz of Alexandria,Va, formerly of Willimantic, left us to go to Heaven on Tuesday August 23, 2011 in Alexandria, Va. She was born in Willimantic, CT on March 16,1922 the daughter of Joseph and Karolina (Serwanski) Zaklukiewicz. Lee lived at 116 Chapman St. most of her life. She moved to Virginia in 2000 to be with her sister Annie. Lee worked many years at the former American Screw Co.in Willimantic and retired after 25 years from the State of CT Mansfield Training School. Lee was predeceased by her sisters Catherine Paterka and Mary Johnson; brothers Walter,Stanley and Peter Zaklukiewicz Sr; nephew Edward Zaklukiewicz and niece Nancy Lefco. Surviving her is her sister Annie Vincent of Alexandria,VA, sister-in-law Theresa Zaklukiewicz of Freehold,NJ, nieces Carole and Robert Richards of Attleboro,MA and Patricia Korner of Higganum,CT; nephews Roger and Carole Zaklukiewicz of Killingworth,CT, Albert and Angela Johnson of Old Saybrook,CT, Russell and Eillen Johnson of Bayville,NJ and Peter and Sheelagh Zaklukiewicz Jr. of Freehold NJ. Lee will be missed deeply by her family and friends and by her Irish Setter dogs that she cared for. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday Sept. 6, 2011 between 9:30 and 10:30am at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic.
