DATE AND SERVICE LOCATION CHANGE Philip H. "Hank" Isham Jr. of Columbia, passed away January 29, 2013 at Douglas Manor. "Hank" was born July 11, 1926, the son of Philip Sr. and Edith (Lyman) Isham. A lifelong resident of Columbia, he graduated from Center School in Columbia and Windham High School. While attending high school he volunteered as an airplane spotter with the Army Air Forces Ground Observer Corps. He served with the 104th infantry division of the U.S. Army from 1944-1946. Upon his return, worked in various construction jobs, retiring from Manchester Sand and Gravel in 1988. He married Mildred Cartier in 1951. She predeceased him in 1995. He was a life member of B.P.O.E. and VFW. He is survived by his son Gary Isham of Comfort, TX and his wife Kimberly Kelly-Isham and their children, Helene Kelly-Isham of France, Mark Kelly-Isham of California and Lillian Kelly-Isham of New York; his sisters, Jean Isham Peters (George Sr.) of Columbia and Patricia Isham Horyczka (James) of California; several nieces and nephews and his best friend and companion Audrey Tuttle of Columbia. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday Feb. 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Columbia Congregational Church Fellowship Hall, 325 Rte. 87, Columbia. A reception will follow. There will be no calling hours.
