Peter Zaklukiewicz, 93, of Willimantic, husband of Theresa (Fontaine) Zaklukiewicz, died Monday, October 25, 2010 at their home. He was born December 31, 1916 in Mansfield and had lived in Willimantic most of his life. He was employed by Colt Firearms in Hartford during World War II. After the war he opened Tel-Del Package store on Main Street in Willimantic and operated it from 1946 to 1993. In addition to his wife of 69 years he is survived by two children, Carole Richards and her husband Robert of Attleboro, MA and Peter Zaklukiewicz Jr. and his wife Sheelagh of Freehold, NJ, two sisters, Philomena Zaklukiewicz and Ann Vincent, both of Alexandria, VA, two grandchildren, Laurie Gilpatrick and Andre Paradis, four great grandchildren, Shawn and Ashlee Paradis and Sarah and Heather Gilpatrick, several nieces and nephews. There will be a gathering at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Rte. 195, Willimantic on Friday at 10:15 a.m. prior to the procession to his Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Valley St., Willimantic.
