Peter S. Wielock, 87, of Willimantic, husband of Bertha (Eaton) Wielock, died Monday, September 11, 2006 at the Windham Hospital. He was born February 6, 1919 in Willimantic, the son of Augustine and Sophie (Tursek) Wielock and had lived in Willimantic all his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in Normandy and Central Europe. Prior to his retirement he was employed for many years at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford. Peter loved sports, enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Willimantic Elks Lodge and the American Legion. In addition to his wife he is survived by 3 children, Peter Wielock of Columbia, Donna Hauschild and her husband Ed, also of Columbia, Stephen Wielock of Brooklyn, 6 grandchildren, Justin, Michael and Marnie Wielock, Timothy, Mathew and Brian Hauschild, 2 great grandchildren, Madison Wielock and Isyss Hauschild, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 sisters and 4 brothers. There will be a gathering at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. prior to the procession to his Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Willimantic. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. There are no calling hours.
