Peter Hassell Obituary
Peter James G Hassell of Frankfort, Illinios went home to be with the Lord on August 6, 2019 after a four year battle with colon cancer. He leaves behind his devoted wife Susan, his children Andrew and Ava Hassell; step children Carli and John Conlon; parents William and Linda Hassell; sisters Rebekah, Sarah, Rachel, and their families.
He was born May 2, 1969. He was a graduate of Windham High School and Johnson and Wales University. He served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Gulf War. He worked for the Department of Corrections in Connecticut and had recently settled in Frankfort Illinois. Peter had a passion for the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He loved jazz, played base, and loved the Beatles. He was a seasoned tag saler and loved to tinker.
His graveside ceremony with military honors will be on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Windham Center Cemetery, Route 203, Windham, CT. at 10:00 am. A Service will follow at the Baptist Fellowship Church of Columbia, Route 6, Columbia, CT. with refreshments.
It broke Peter's heart to see children suffer with cancer. Instead of flowers feel free to donate to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
