Peter Gergler Obituary
Peter Edward Gergler, 66, loving husband of Kathleen McElroy, died Monday January 21, 2018, from complications of a stroke. A compassionate, sweet, even-tempered man, he was the son of the late Ellsworth and Irene (Lussier) Gergler. He was born on July 5, 1951, and grew up in Mansfield, CT. He held a Masters degree in counseling. He was retired from the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. He taught part-time at Manchester Community College, which he enjoyed. After Peter retired, he was passionate about wood carving. He leaves a brother Gerry Gergler, a sister Marian Pohley. There are no calling hours. Friends and family are invited to stop by his home, 67 South Windham Rd, Willimantic, CT on Saturday, January 27, 2018 anytime between 1:00 until 6:00 pm.
