Peter C. DeCatiff, 62, formerly of Willimantic, died Monday morning March 19, 2012 at Windham Hospital shortly after suffering a heart attack at his home in Ashford. Peter was born in Hartford and was raised in Glastonbury where he went to school and graduated from Glastonbury High School. He is the son of the late Peter L. DeCatiff and Lauretta (Lewis) DeCatiff and just retired from Stop & Shop after 28 years of service. Peter is survived by his wife Susan A. DeCatiff of Ashford, a son Joseph P. DeCatiff and his fiancee Nicole DeLoreto; four daughters, Maryjane DeCatiff of Middletown, Nina Lombard and her husband Douglas Lombard of Glastonbury, Julie Baird and her husband James Baird of Ashford and Loretta Shultz and her husband Ryan Shultz of Willimantic. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Mikayla and Tyler Baird, Conor, Aiden and Brennan Lombard and Sophia DeCatiff. His Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic on Friday March 23rd at 11:00am with assembly at the church. Interment will follow in St. Philip Cemetery, Ashford. His family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday March 22nd between 5:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic.
