Pedro Cruz

WILLIMANTIC - Pedro L. "Barreto" Cruz, Jr. was born on July 15, 1960 in Jauna Diaz, Puerto Rico. We lost him unexpectedly on October 25, 2010. He was a long time Willimantic resident. He was the son to Luz Brilly Machavelo and Pedro L. Cruz Sr. He was survived by his wife, Deborah Cruz and his children Ileanna, Ferdinand, Tiffany, Brittany and Pedro III; his grandchildren, Montego Cruz-Blake, Sanaiya Stigler and Avery Cruz; his siblings, Carmen & Carlos Cruz and Tony Machavelo and his nieces Jessica Carrasco and Brilly Pedraza; an aunt Luz Machavelo and a great dear friend and father-in-law, Pat Ruley. He spent 30 years working for the State of CT DMR Worker. He was an amazing person, a loving father, a wonderful friend, a hard worker and always very giving to those he loved. He will be dearly missed. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 28th at 1:00pm at Iglesia Sagrado Corazon de Jesus, Club Rd., Windham, with a prior viewing between 11:00am and 1:00pm.
