MANSFIELD CENTER - Pauline M. Cone, 51, of Mansfield Center, earned her wings on February 15, 2009 after a brief illness. Born in Willimantic, she was the daughter of the late Andre & Florence (Rail) Bernier. She is survived by the love of her life and devoted husband, Steve Cone of Mansfield Center; her sister, Emma Richard and her husband Edmond of LaSarre, Province of Quebec, Canada; her sister, Bonita Miller and her husband Richard of Storrs; her brother, Norman Bernier and his wife Elaine of Willimantic; her sister, Adrienne Bernier of Norwich; her sister, Yvette Gillette and her husband George of Windham; her sister, Cheryl York of Mansfield Center; her sister, Rachel Eells and her husband Joseph of Columbia; Julie Clarke of Southbridge, MA, a niece, grew up with her as a sister; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews; Bonita Squier, her best friend and constant companion. She was predeceased by her brother, Eugene Bernier. She also leaves behind her adored cats Izzy and Lilly. She graduated high school from E.O. Smith and earned her degree in Business Management from Manchester Community College. She was employed by Rogers Corporation for many years before working for Curves and then cleaned houses for her family and friends. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed NASCAR. She had a special passion for motorcycles and long drives. There will be no calling hours, however, a Memorial Service and reception will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2009 at the North Windham Fire Dept., 603 Boston Post Road, North Windham at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Pauline's memory to CATS Northeast, P.O. Box 345, Mansfield Center, CT 06250. She touched so many people's hearts and will be greatly missed, her love and passion, fire and fight will continue on in all who adored her. ~~God saw her getting tired, when a cure was not to be, He wrapped His arms around her and whispered 'Come to me', so keep your arms around her, Lord, and give her special care, make up for all her suffering and all that seemed unfair~~
