Paul Robert Simmons, 72 of Tinkerville Rd., Willington, husband of Ronda (Korner) Simmons passed away on Monday morning, March 24, 2025 at St. Francis Hosptial. He was born September 15, 1952 in Willimantic, the son of late George and Jacqueline (Poirier) Simmons and had resided in Willington for over 49 years. Paul had been employed at Scranton Motors in Vernon for 42 years where he worked as Parts Manager prior to retirement. Paul enjoyed traveling frequently to his home in Venice, FL as well as many trips to Disney World. He was also an avid teller of bad dad jokes as his grandchildren can attest to.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his four children, Joshua Simmons and his wife Samantha of Stafford; daughters Jessica Houlker and her husband Jack of Putnam; and Jaime LaVecchia and her husband Lou of Hebron; and son Jeremy Simmons and his wife Kathleen of Willington; seven grandchildren, Fen, Hunter, and Tallulah Simmons, Lillian Houlker, Jayden and Ryan LaVecchia, and Jake Simmons, three brothers, Rick Simmons and wife Mary of Lebanon, Tom Simmons of Windham, and John Simmons and wife Kris of Chaplin, two sisters, Marybeth (Simmons) LaFlamme and husband Scott of Windham, and Tammy (Simmons) Judd and husband Dan of Rural Retreat, VA, and his brother-in-law Rand Korner of Venice FL, as well as many, many, many, nieces and nephews. Paul is predeceased by brothers Gary and David.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte 195), Willimantic, CT. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
