Paul Frederick Meissner Jr

PAUL FREDERICK MEISSNER JR., 61, of Mansfield Center, passed away at home on May 26, 2005 after a year of living with pancreatic cancer. He was born on July 15, 1943 in Greenwich, Connecticut and was predeceased by his parents Bertha (Krack) Meissner and Paul F. Meissner. He was the devoted and loving husband, friend and soul mate for 26 years to Deborah Meissner (Griswold), and cherished father of Sara Meissner of NYC. He leaves behind his brother, Robert Meissner, and numerous beloved extended family members, friends and business acquaintances. Paul was a 1961 graduate of Stamford High School and a 1965 graduate of UCONN. He served honorably in the United States Navy. Paul had passion for music and car racing. Every Saturday night was jam night when he would play his drums with a few of his treasured friends. Late in life Paul discovered golf, and became a man on a mission to make up for all the years his missed not playing the game. He was a deeply spiritual man who followed the teachings of the Yogi, Paramahansa Yogananda and others. He was a true believer in God and knew that once he left this earth he would be going to a very special place. The funeral service will be held at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street, (Rte. 195) Willimantic CT on Thursday, June 2nd at 10:00am, with burial to follow at the Mansfield Center Cemetery.
