Patrick Enright, 52, beloved husband of Kimberly (Marchand) Enright, passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2018, at his residence in Ellington. Born in Woonsocket, RI. to Elaine (St. Pierre) Enright and the late Francis Enright. He graduated from E.O. Smith, and kept in contact with his high school friends, many times planning ?guys? trips and countless gatherings. He lived nearly all of his life in Mansfield, and devoted many years to serving the public. He worked for Mansfield Training School, and was a volunteer/part time Firefighter/EMT for the Eagleville Fire Department. He landed his dream job as a Firefighter/EMT for the University of Connecticut, where he eventually earned the rank of Lieutenant. He retired from the UCONN Fire Department in 2010, dedicating over 25 years of his life to serving the community. Most recently he enjoyed his part time job at the Town of Mansfield as a Housing Inspector. Patrick passed on his legacy for public service to his son Shane, who recently began his career as Firefighter/EMT for the City of Westbrook, Maine. He cherished his daughter Kellyann, and never missed a volleyball game or piano recital. He always encouraged her to do well in school and provided endless support for her interest in criminal justice, and proudly sent her off to Eastern Connecticut State University where she studies pre-law. He was a fantastic father and husband devoted to his family. He enjoyed many vacations with his family and friends, especially in the Cape and at Lake Winnipesaukee. He was loved and well respected by all who knew him. He valued his friends and fire department family deeply. An avid outdoorsman, Patrick loved sitting out on a brisk morning waiting to spot a buck from his deer stand, or spending a frigid morning in a duck blind with his dog. He shared his passion for the outdoors with many friends and enjoyed teaching kids how to hunt and fish. He volunteered many years for the wetlands and waterfowl preservation organization, Ducks Unlimited. He was a member of the Fin, Fur and Feather Club and the Elks Club where he enjoyed the family oriented events and gatherings there. Pat was an enthusiastic Troop Leader for the Boy Scouts, a baseball coach, and role model to his children and all of their friends. Patrick is survived by?his wife of 26 years, Kimberly (Marchand) Enright; his kids, Shane and Kellyann Enright; his loving mother Elaine (St. Pierre) Enright; his brother, Kevin Enright, and sister in-law Dawn (Smith); nephew, Kevin and niece Brianna; brother, Michael Enright. His in-laws, Norman and Mary Marchand, brother-in law, Norman Marchand, Jr.; sister-in-law, Debbie; nieces, Violet and Willow; family friends, Mitch and Dominique Vildavs, Jessica and Kelsey Davis, Jake and Amanda Jordan, who he thought of as his own children. He also leaves behind his beloved Uncle Lloyd Foster, with whom he spent many great times hunting with. He loved his cousins and cherished celebrating his favorite holiday at Lloyd?s annual 4th of July picnic, where Patrick remains the reigning croquet champion?forever. Patrick?is preceded in death by?his father, Francis Enright; his uncle, Edgar St. Pierre; his Godfather, Lucien St. Pierre; his beloved aunt Florence Foster and God Mother Estelle Young. Calling hours will be held at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street, Willimantic, CT on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 5pm-8pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson Street, Willimantic on Tuesday, January 23rd at 11am. Burial will follow the funeral at?The Pink Ravine Cemetery, Bone Mill Road, Mansfield.
