Patrick Bernard Dufour, 66, of Columbia, husband of Veronica (Ellis) Dufour, died Monday, March 4, 2013 at Hartford Hospital. He was born February 15, 1947 in Canada, the son of Frank and Rita Dufour, moved to East Hartford when he was 14 years old and has resided in Columbia for the past 15 years. He was employed for 22 years at Colt Firearms as a setup man and most recently as a maintenance technician for East-Conn in Hampton. He enjoyed playing pool, camping, eating Chinese food, watching movies and going to tag sales. In addition to his wife of 30 years he is survived by three children, Monique Dufour Messenger and her husband Will, Catherine Wild-Hamlin and her husband Mark and Lisa Wild-Cornell and her husband Will, six grandchildren, Cassandra and Jacob Messenger, Jessica Dudzic-Raymond and her husband Rob, Justin and Emily Dudzic and Dustin Hamlin, two great grandchildren, Kelly Williams and Hayden Kapinos, a sister Huguette Dufour and four nieces. He was predeceased by a grandchild, Chantel Marie Wild, two brothers Bertrand and Romuald and a sister, Hilda Dufour. His family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic. Funeral and burial will be private.
