Patricia G. Mulhall slipped her earthly bonds Thursday, May 31, in Hartford. She was born March 10, 1933, in Bronx, New York, and graduated from Hunter High School. After bearing four children, she returned to complete her degree at Hofstra University and worked for many years as the acquisitions librarian at Eastern Connecticut State University. She was a beloved mother, sister and friend to many, in particular her other family at St. Paul's in Willimantic, where she was an integral part of the fabric of the church community. She leaves behind her devoted brother, Gerard Mulhall, and her four children, Gerry Riley and his wife Donna Jadis, of California, and their son Brian Slone; Pan Riley and her husband Jim Nason of Simsbury; Deirdre Serio and her husband Sam and daughter Sandy of Virginia; Geoffrey Riley and his wife Joi and their children Jordan and Zack; and several nieces and nephews who were very dear to her heart. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Paul's (220 Valley Street, Willimantic 06226) would be deeply appreciated. She was an extraordinary woman and will be deeply missed. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Episcopal Church, 220 Valley St., Willimantic. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Please visit
