Patricia Mackinnon

Patricia Ann MacKinnon, 71, of Windham, died June 17, 2012 at the Windham Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh J. MacKinnon and her son James "Jay" MacKinnon. She is survived by her sister, Joan Barlow of Plainfield, her daughter, Dawn Fournier and her husband Glen of Willimantic, her son Mark MacKinnon of Samson, AL and daughter Tammy MacKinnon-Bernier of Lebanon. She also leaves her granddaughters, Crystal MacKinnon, Tiffany French, Heather Sarro and Elizabeth Bernier, her grandsons Justin MacKinnon, Clinton and Garret MacKinnon and Corbett Bernier. Pat was born June 12, 1941 in Lebanon, was raised in Mansfield and moved to North Windham in 1969 where she raised her four children. She was a long time employee of the Town of Windham, first as a K9 officer and most recently as the veteran affairs officer. She had a great love of flowers which she took pride in growing and a strong love of God. There are no calling hours. Her Funeral Mass will be held Thursday June 21, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church Valley St., Willimantic, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
