Patricia A. Hurd

Patricia A. Hurd, 59, of Scotland, wife of Charles Hurd, died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Hartford Hospital. She was born March 9, 1952 in Worcester, MA, the daughter of Theresa Eager of Worcester and the late James Eager and had lived in Woodstock before moving to Scotland 8 years ago. Pat had been employed for over 25 years at Frito-Lay in Killingly. She was a dedicated blood donor and enjoyed taking care of her children and flowers. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by three children, Christine Hurd of Scotland, Michael Hurd of Willimantic and Theresa Hurd of Landcaster, SC; three brothers, James, Brian and Paul Eager, all of Massachusetts; two grandchildren, Abagail and Hazel Hurd and many nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, July 7th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., (Rte. 195), Willimantic. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 8th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Church, jct. Rte. 14 and Rte. 97, Scotland. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
