Patricia Grogan

Patricia A. Grogan (Pat), recently of Windham and originally of Wallingford, CT, died July 28, 2008 in Windham. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald J. Grogan Sr. originally of Wethersfield, CT and the devoted mother of three loving children; her daughter Christine (Tina) Grogan of Newport Beach, Ca.; Timothy S. Grogan and his partner Bill Anderson of Windham, CT. and Donald J. Grogan Jr. and his wife Robyn Grogan of Brooksville, FL. Patricia is also survived by her brother Roy Desmond and her sister Mary Majeski originally of Wallingford, CT. She was the sister of the late Eileen Ahearn and the late Walter Desmond both of Wallingford, Ct. Patricia is also survived by her sister in law Cle Sullivan of Wethersfield, CT and her brother in law Francis Grogan of Windsor Locks, CT as well as many nieces & nephews and her dear friend Beverly Neuhann of Brooksville FL, all of whom, she loved very much. Prior to getting married, Pat attended Yale nursing school in New Haven, CT. She and her husband traveled extensively and lived for several years in Japan while Don served in the United States Air Force. Eventually they started a family and settled in Brooksville, FL. where Pat has lived since 1972. She was a very compassionate and caring person who dedicated her life to providing for her family and caring for others. She loved to be around people and loved to laugh. Pat has reminisced fondly of her times with the ladies guild at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Brooksville and all of the fun times she and Don had with the Hearty Party Group! She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Her family and friends will miss her dearly but carry her with them in their hearts! Her family will receive friends on Thursday between 10:00 and 11:00am with a service at 11:00am at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Additional funeral services and interment will take place in Florida. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested in the name of Patricia A.
