Patricia Leilani (Greenwood) Shibenski, 81, of Willimantic, wife of the late Anthony Shibenski Sr., died peacefully on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at Backus Hospital in Norwich. She was born on June 2, 1939, the daughter of the late Armand and Mary Greenwood.
She is survived by her three children, Anthony Shibenski, Jr. of Willimantic, Linda Shibenski of Windham, Barbara Straub (Charles) of Mansfield; sister, Cecelia Jeffrey (Donald) of New Hampshire; 10 grandchildren Jason Shibenski of Windham, Jennifer LaVerde (Christopher) of Somers, Jessica Barrows of Colchester, Chastity Wentworth (Fred), Stacey Price, Christina Sandock , William Ashburn, all from New Hampshire, Anthony Shibenski III of Danielson, Nicole Shibenski of Texas and Amanda Mayo of New London and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Shibenski Ashburn and her sister Jean Greenwood.
Due to current circumstances related to Covid-19, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be on Monday, August 24,2020 at 1:00pm at the New Lebanon Cemetery, Waterman Road, Lebanon. Face masks are required. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Covenant Soup Kitchen, 220 Valley Street, Willimantic, CT 06226 or to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
