Patricia Dupuis

Patricia J. (Vargas) Dupuis, of Norwich, passed away peacefully on Monday April 23, 2012 at her home. She was born on May 22, 1942 in Putnam the daughter of the late Alfred Vargas Sr. and Addie Vargas. Pat was married to Jean Dupuis on Jan. 17, 1970 in Willimantic. In addition to her loving husband of forty two years, she is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Langworthy of Florida, Michelle Deem of Ohio, Jody Langworthy of Willimantic and Brenda Landry and husband Jim of Lebanon. She is also survived by her special sister Marlyn Kelehear of Storrs and siblings Alan Vargas of MA., David Vargas and his wife Kathleen of Willimantic, Wayne Vargas of Griswold, Glenn Vargas and his wife Donna of Canterbury, Adrienne Cichon of Willimantic, Beverly Lance of FL., Theresa Wolchesky of Norwich and Dorothea Loos of Brooklyn; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Alfred Vargas Jr., Arthur Vargas, Daniel Vargas, Lawrence Vargas, Lorraine Milhomme and Virginia Maheu. Patricia was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 124, Bozrah. She worked many years as a nurse's aide at Backus Hospital, several convalescent homes and finally at Interim Health Care of Norwich. Pat had a big heart that cared for everyone, strangers, family and friends. She had a giving heart that we will all remember. Pat had a gift for making afghans and giving them as gifts to family and friends and donating them as fund raisers. She also made lap robes and gave them to the cancer patients at the cancer center in Norwich. Pat will be sadly missed by all. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday April 25th between 6:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Her funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday April 26th at 12:30pm with interment following in Litchfield Cemetery, Hampton. Memorial donations may be made in Pat's name to Hospice of Southeastern CT., 227 Dunham St., Norwich, Ct. 06360 or to The Women of the Moose, Chapter 124, P.O. Box 314, Bozrah, CT. 06334.
