Patria Maria Roy

Patria Maria (Torres) Roy, 82, formerly of Willimantic, died Monday May 20, 2002 in New London. She was born March 5, 1920 in Puerto Rico and moved to Willimantic in 1957 and then to Groton in 1990. She was a former member of St. Joseph Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the James J. Shea Post #19 A.L. She is survived by 2 sons; Jack Atnip of Canada and William Cruz of Puerto Rico, a brother Ramon Torres of Tampa, FL., and 4 sisters Adelaida Cichon of Willimantic, Lolita Wall of Willimantic, Carmen Vazquez and Pura Paquet both of FL. Her funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. Willimantic, with burial following in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. There are no calling hours.
