Olivia “Livi” Elaine Marin Devereux, 79, of Storrs, CT passed away on August 31, 2022 after battling cancer. She was born on October 23, 1942, in New Mexico to parents of Anthony Beltrain Marin and Genevieve Catarina Diaz Marin.
Livi is survived by her sister, Sylvia L. Strickland of CA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Francis Joseph Devereux who died in 2012 after 43 years of happy marriage.
Livi was an avid artist and author. She created, published, and sold a line of note cards and wrote short stories and poetry. She was an animal lover and owned many dogs, cats, and horses over the years. Livi’s family and many close friends will miss her deeply. She was fiercely independent and lovingly supported when needed by her local "adopted" family, the Thompsons and Allies.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street, Willimantic, CT followed by a graveside service at 12:30PM at Mansfield Center Cemetery, 40 Cemetery Road, Mansfield Center, CT.
