Oliver F. Bolduc, 83, of Chaplin, husband of Marjorie (Gallup) Bolduc, died Monday, February 19, 2007 at the Windham Hospital. He was born March 20, 1923 in Somerville, MA, the son of Frederick and Ellen (Clark) Bolduk and had lived in Chaplin most of his life. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and the Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal. Prior to his retirement he was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 33 years. He was an active member of the Chaplin Congregational Church, serving in many positions, but was particularly involved for many years with the Heifer Project. Oliver lived to serve others. In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, John and Doreen Bolduc of Chaplin, Albert and Cathy Bolduc of Arkansas, 2 sisters, Margarette Montpelier of Dayville and Patricia Bolduc of Clearwater, FL, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Russ Cemetery, Chaplin.
