Norman E. Moshier

Norman E. Moshier, 88, of Hampton, passed away Friday March 30, 2012 at Hartford Hospital. He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-four years, Elizabeth "Betty" (Smith) Moshier, son Jack Moshier of Hartford, daughter Cynthia Moshier Lafontaine and her husband Randy of Windham; and grandchildren Justin, Nathan, Matthew, Emily and Alex. Born in Hampton, CT on Feb. 11, 1924, he was one of two sons born to the late Elliot and Lelia Moshier. A graduate of Windham High School, he would go on to serve with honor in World War II aboard the Naval destroyer The USS Abbot. His many passions included music, the outdoors and dogs, especially German Shepherds. All who knew him, knew of his intense devotion to his wife and to his family. There are no calling hours and interment in South Cemetery, Hampton will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of cards and flowers, all those wishing to pay their respects are encouraged to make a donation in his memory to the charity of their choosing.
