Norman J. Galipeau

Norman J. Galipeau, 73, of Ashford, beloved husband of Teresa (Gailloux) Galipeau, died Monday April 28, 2008 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Berlin, NH, the son of the late Mathias and Parmelia (Defosse) Galipeau. Norman was a US Marine who served in the Korean War. He was very committed to his family and friends. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a previous member of the Ashford Volunteer Fire Department. He also enjoyed hunting. In addition to his wife of 52 years Teresa, he is survived by three daughters Susan Tangari and her husband Richard of Ashford, Donna Lee Viel of Ashford, and Sandra Poulin and her husband Michael of Pomfret, a sister Rosa Sheridan and her husband Robert of Vernon, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister Rita Popielarczyk. His family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30pm with a Memorial Service beginning at 1:30pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St (RTE 195) Willimantic.
