Norma Jean Tucker

Norma Jean (Ingalls) Tucker, "Meme", 69, of Mansfield, wife of Harry Tucker, died Monday, July 27, 2009 at their home. She was born October 23, 1939 in Bucks Harbor, Maine, the daughter of Kenneth and Doris (Clark) Ingalls of Bucks Harbor and had lived in Mansfield and Willimantic for over 40 years. She enjoyed her summer home in Maine and Ingalls Island, genealogy, gardening, reading, volunteering, cooking and family parties. In addition to her parents and husband of 50 years she is survived by a sister, Marie Wood of Bucks Harbor, a brother, Wayne Ingalls and his friend Bessie Moe of Machias, ME, three daughters, Karen Nye and her husband Lance of Ashford, Karla Tucker of Mansfield Center, Heidi Bolduk and her husband Michael of Vernon, seven grandchildren, Danny Overturf Jr., Russell Mara, Ryan Mara, Brittney Nye, Dylan Nye, Morgan Bolduk and Monica Bolduk, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Tucker and a brother-in-law, Robert Wood Sr. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 29 Puddin Lane, Mansfield. Burial will follow in the Storrs Cemetery.
