Norma Catalano Obituary
Norma Jeane (Barry) Catalano, passed away on November 24, 2023 at her home in Manchester, Connecticut. She was born at Willimantic Hospital on January 12, 1936, along with her twin brother Norman, who always said he was three minutes older.

She was the daughter of Barbara Schlehofer and Irving Barry of Storrs, Connecticut. She was pre-deceased by ten brothers and sisters. This closes the Barry saga, Helen Bernat, Irving Barry, Robert Barry, Aileen Davis, Virginia McManus, Dolores Gaudreau, Patricia Wielgos, Beverly Barry, Norman Barry and Richard Barry. Norma was also pre-deceased by her sons, Keith Briere, Robert Briere and Dana Crawford. She leaves her three remaining sons, Darrell Briere of Damascus, Virginia, Steven Bajek of Lexington, Tennessee and Joseph Crawford of Honolulu, Hawaii.

She later married Russell Catalano. They loved to travel and enjoyed summers on Columbia Lake in Connecticut.  Russ passed away in 1996.

Norma grew up in Coventry and briefly lived in France and Germany.  She raised her six sons in North Franklin and later lived in Willimantic and Manchester.  She loved to read, sew, enjoyed the Red Sox and, of course, Casinos.

She lived with one belief from her mother.  Even though she was only six years of age when her mother passed, she remembered her Mom telling her “never eat the hole in the donut” and “never let a rocking chair rock with no one in it,” Why?  Nobody knows, but she will see her soon and find out.

“So life is full of regrets and beliefs. They will be your strengths and thoughts to help you.”

Per her wishes, there are no calling hours and no service.
