Norberto Gonzalez Sr

Norberto (Pancho) Gonzalez Sr. (June 24, 1933-October 21, 2010) formerly of Anasco, Puerto Rico who resided in Willimantic, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 77. He is survived by his long time companion and love Georgina Gonzalez. They shared 58 years of joyful marriage together and he was survived by his three sons: Norberto Gonzalez Jr., Baltazar Gonzalez, and William Gonzalez. He also demonstrated his love to his grandchildren Joseph Gonzalez, Baltazar Gonzalez Jr., and Andrew Gonzalez. He had six beautiful great-grandchildren with whom he shared his affection and wisdom, Andrew Gonzalez Jr., Baltazar Gonzalez III, Deana Gonzalez, Illianna Gonzalez, Adalyse Gonzalez, and Anden Gonzalez. Pancho was a long time employee of Hartford Poultry and Brand-Rex, who is remembered for his sense of humor and blissful personality. He also dedicated much of his life to serving the community by teaching people about God's word. His passion was in spreading God's message. He was an elder at the Kingdom Hall in association with the Jehovah Witness religion. He was respected by many and will be dearly missed by his family and all those who came in contact with him. His family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday Oct. 24th between 2:00 and 4:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Interment will take place privately on Monday in New Willimantic Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday evening at 6:00pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 96 Quarry St., Willimantic.
