Nicholas J. Guzzo

Nicholas J. Guzzo, 66, of Columbia, husband of Mary Anne (Bonin) Guzzo, died Wednesday March 29, 2006 at the Windham Hospital. He was born March 17, 1940 in Hartford, son of the late Louis and Clementina (Corvo) Guzzo and had lived in Columbia for over 50 years. He was a Life Member of the Columbia Volunteer Fire Department, serving for over 35 years and was a former member of the Columbia Lions Club. Prior to his retirement he was employed for many years at Brand-Rex in Willimantic. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Jay Lembo and his wife Paula of Columbia, a daughter, Patti Lembo of Florida, 2 granddaughters, Nicole and Autumn, his mother-in-law, Mary Bonin of Columbia, 2 aunts, Sylvia Corvo of West Hartford and Doloris Bowen of Columbia. He was predeceased by a brother, Louis Bobby Guzzo. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the West Street Cemetery, Columbia.
